So you've been where?
Here's a list I of states I have visited in my lifetime.

or write about it on the open travel guide
This site will be cool, once they have a registration process. You'll be able to add to a worldwide listing of every little town you've been in (or lived in, drove through, thought had a cool name, etc.) Plus you'll be able to make your own porsonal maps of places thingy, like above, but in more detail (I think, that's what they're going for, anyway)
